About the Design
Lately I’ve been getting a lot of inspiration from retro poster designs and really love the way the retro style combines bold typography, texture and muted color schemes. While I like the elements incorporated into retro design such as unexpected and exaggerated graphic elements, my personal style tends to lean on the minimalist and simplistic side. March’s calendar reflects my interpretation of retro poster styling.
I find that many of my ideas stem from absorbing all of the great work that is already out there and incorporating bits and pieces into my own designs. Abduzeedo’s got a great gallery of retro designs that I highly recommend checking out before starting your next project.
