Designing a website to appear like a desk or office workspace is becoming more and more popular. There’s something comfortable about a design that resembles the place it was probably created. Many of these designs feature common elements (pencils, coffee, and computers) but there are also some unique doo-dads tucked away. Enjoy browsing this collection of desktop designs and maybe it will inspire you to design a site based on where you work.

Ooh nice collection! The Rachael Rossman design has a good desktop motif as well.
This is a great list. My favorite is probably Simple Art. Good surprises.

Nice collection. This is certainly a really, really common trend these days. Would have been nice to read a bit about why you think these designs are popular or why they work though.

There’s urgentartwork.com which is a bit more current than some of these, which were new two years ago (I can remember them from then). Great selection though.

This blog is informative – with a lot of updated creative ideas designs.I like your site design Where did you get the theme?.
Great to find my website in your list!
Wow great stuff! Ok, ok, I know this is self-serving but my site has a pretty cool desktop scene that a lot of people seem to like – splicevine.com. My designer friend created it in Cinema 4D.
nice, i like something that makes you want to nosy around, people seem to want everything highlighted for them, almost idiot proof, ,,give em something to play with.
Im having some difficulty trying 2 load your website bog. I have been read it(blog) many times before and never gotten something like this, but now when i try to load something it just takes a little while (9-15 minutes) & then just stop. I’ve tried with www or not. Does anyone know what the trouble could be? Please ask your support guy at hoster..And, yes, thanks for your job!
These are great!
I also found this one, I love the desk

Have you ever considered adding videos with your blog site posts to have the readers even more entertained? What i’m saying is I just read through the whole write-up and it was really fantastic but because I am a lot more of a visual learner, I found videos to be alot more useful. well, let me know what you feel.
These are really nice, especially the first 2. The very first time i came across such a theme was on the J.K Rowling website. Although it took a good amount of time yo upload, the wait was well worth it. Really interesting concept. The next one i would like to see is the desktop of an artist… ought to be colorfully messy
